BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. — Chad Barrett scored the winning goal and had an assistin the Chicago Fire’s 2-1 victory over the New England Revolution on Saturdaynight.

Barrett scored in the 60th minute, beating Matt Reis after the goalkeeperblocked Paulo Wanchope’s shot. It was Barrett’s seventh goal of the season.

New England took the lead in the 24th minute on Jeff Larentowicz’s goal, andChris Rolfe tied it just before halftime off a pass from Barrett.

The Fire improved to 9-10-9, and the Revolution fell to 14-7-7.

Chicago coach Juan Carlos Osorio missed the game after receiving a red cardlast week in a game against Chivas USA.
